Blogging is trendy!!!

Hello everyone:

Blogging is a new trend. Not only that is popular with people of all ages but it also makes people feel like blending in a spesific topic.

Blogging should be part of our class because it allows us as #Kean University Marketing Students to learn more about how we share comments, opinions, ideas, etc.

I personally relate all this exhange of communication to a diary when it comes to personal blogs.

On the other hand, business blogs is an option to communicate with customers and/or employees to share knowledge and expertise. It's a fact that blogging is part of social media in these times.

It has gain attention in a market where competition is all about when it comes to business and is our responsibility to use it as a tool of communication.

Businesses are really taking advantages of almost all these tools of online communication. In comparison with e-mail or letters; blogging is a faster and easier way for companies to get feedback, opinions and suggestions of their products or services. Blogs can be updated more regularly than a website.

For example, Jupiter Research, is a wellknown business market research company that has a blog for each company analyst. Their purpose is to connect with their audience on a regular basis.

Yahoo, Google, Microsoft just to name a few are popular companies that uses blogs as a marketing tool.

The number of bloggers are increasing over time and therefore businesses are aware of it.

  1. Jenny,

Great blog entry. Straight forward, to the point and highly readable.

How can you get more specific? Examples? What busiensses are taking advantage of the tools?

Watch your headline. In an effort to be catchy (thank you for listening), you may have gotten away from tying the headline to the content.

The headline should be catchy and relevant to the information at hand. Be specific.

    Well done!

  2. I also see blogging as a diary ... where you can update your toughts and opinions of certain events or in this case of social media news :)

  3. I've edited my blog entry and i've followed your suggestions, Perri. I got more specific by giving examples of certain companies that take advantage of blogging such as Jupiter Research, yahoo and/or google.
When i re-read my first blog entry i realized that the title wasnt so much relevant to the content so i tried to tie it to the content. I've never heard of blogging or linkedin before so im glad im taking this class. Being aware of how businesses are taking advantage of social media and know the contemporary issues of marketing makes me feel that im taking this class for an excellent reason.

P.S. Thanks for agreeing with me Mariana

  4. Jenny,

Nice revision. I like the Jupiter example. What drew you to Jupiter? Are you doing something with them for work?

I also noticed that you tried to make your paragraphs shorter - thank you for listening on that one!

Sometimes Blogger has a tough time formatting - once you publish, you may want to go back and make sure the formatting is OK. It's annoying, but a part of the process!

I also noticed that you have been thoughtfully commenting on your colleagues' posts. Thank you. You are setting a great example.

And finally, I like how you opted to summarize the changes you made to your posting. Rather than putting it in your posting, you displayed it as a comment. Interesting.

    Jenny, you are doing great.

    Thank you,
    Perri

  5. Jenny,

You have some very good points. Blogging is becoming very trendy. Social media comes in many forms but blogginging seems to be what everyone is doing in the 20th century. Yes it is a thought process when blogging but it has becaome a easier way to express your feelings without putting as much thought into as writing an essay.
